Standards, methodologies, assumptions, and/or calculation tools used for direct (Scope 1) GHG emissions:

Scope 1 and 2 GHG Emissions are calculated in accordance with the World Resources Institute/World Business Council for Sustainable Development Greenhouse Gas Protocol: A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, Revised Edition (the Protocol). Emissions are calculated using an internal calculator which converts stationary and mobile utility consumption into greenhouse gas emissions. Utility consumption is based on invoices from utility providers when the Bank has access to invoices. At locations where the Bank does not have access to utility invoices, consumption is estimated based on building area. Third Party Limited Assurance has been obtained on Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculations.
