Metrics and Targets C - Targets used by the Organization to Manage Climate-related Risks

Describe the targets used by the organization to manage climate-related risks and opportunities and performance against targets:

We have a 2025 target to reduce our Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions intensity by 25% from our 2018 baseline. The denominator of the intensity metric is metric tons processed in all facilities. Our Scope 2 emissions are market-based and include reductions from renewable energy credits. We achieved our 2025 GHG emissions reduction target ahead of 2025 by improving energy use efficiencies and by replacing high carbon fuels with lower carbon ones. We also have a 2025 target to increase renewable consumption to 100,000 MWh/Year. We have additional 2025 Sustainability Goals for water, waste, environmental violations, safety, and assessing our new products for sustainability.

In addition to our 2025 Sustainability Goals, we are committed to reducing absolute scope 1 and scope 2 emissions 50.4% by 2030 from a 2018 base year. The target covers all scope 1 and 2 emissions under Milliken's operational control. The target boundary includes biogenic emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks. Milliken also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 30% by 2030 from a 2018 base year. Our scope 3 reduction target covers all 15 scope 3 emissions categories with no material exclusions. Milliken & Company also commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2018 baseline. All scope 1 and 2 emissions under Milliken's operational control are included. The target boundary includes biogenic emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks. Milliken & Company also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2018 base year. All fifteen categories of Milliken's scope 3 emissions are included in this target with no material exclusions.

Performance against our targets is detailed for every 2025 Sustainability Goal and our 2030 net-zero targets in our 2024 Sustainability Report, specifically referencing performance disclosures in the Planet, Product and Net-zero sections.
