Disclose Scope 2 (location-based) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions:

Discuss Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) related risks:

Milliken provides historical period emissions for scope 1 and 2, including every year from 2018 to 2024 in its 2024 Sustainability Report. Milliken's scope 1 and scope 2 2025 GHG reduction targets and 2030 science-based target was informed by climate-related risks and opportunities including physical risks of our locations, transitional risks of existing and potential regulations, and in response to potential reputational risks.

Milliken will update GHG inventories in accordance with new guidance releases from GHG Protocol, etc. Milliken will follow SBTi guidance regarding GHG emissions baseline recalculation for target monitoring and achievement, i.e., target adjustments will be made as needed in alignment with our 5% threshold for significance. Changes to our scope 1 and scope 2 inventory in recent years include that Milliken moved from tracking emissions reduction progress based on location-based scope 2 to market-based scope 2. Milliken calculates and reports scope 2 using both methods. Milliken also calculates all transportation related emissions on a well-to-wheel basis as per SBTi guidance. While Milliken tracks many factors impacting emissions, our diverse product portfolio may have shifts that create unidentified changes. Historical scope 1 and 2 emissions are disclosed in our 2024 Sustainability Report.

Examples of standards, protocols and/or methodologies that we have used to collect activity data and calculate emissions include: Defra Environmental Reporting Guidelines: Including streamlined energy and carbon reporting guidance, 2019 The Climate Registry: General Reporting Protocol, The Greenhouse Gas Protocol: A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (Revised Edition), US EPA Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule and others such as eGRID/UNFCCC/EIA/Green-E.
