TC-SC-110a.2 - Scope 1 Emissions, Targets, and Performance

Discussion Section

Discuss long- and short-term strategy or plan to manage Scope 1 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions

Rambus's main sources of scope 1 emissions include fugitive emissions and generator fuel usage. We expect to phase out our generator fuel usage in the upcoming year.

To manage climate-related issues and greenhouse gas emissions, Rambus has established board-level oversight and has codified responsibility to multiple management-level committees and positions. This includes the ESG Committee (composed of the ESG Council and the Operational Working Group), and the CEO. More details on the governance structure of greenhouse gas management can be found in our annual CDP report.

Discuss your emission reduction target(s) and analyse your performance against the target(s)

Rambus is currently exploring an appropriate science-aligned greenhouse gas emissions reduction target and aims to have an approved target within the next two years. Once our target is established, we plan to track our progress against it and report out on this progress in future reports. This target will cover renewable energy usage as our scope 1-related emissions are a minor component of our total inventory.

Discuss activities and investments required to achieve the plans and/or targets
