Business Travel emissions were calculated primarily using the spend-based method, as this data source is the most comprehensive available. The exception is Business Travel emissions from Personal Vehicle Mileage, which uses the distance-based method, because accurate and comprehensive distance information is available for this category. Business travel expenses are sorted by emissions factors. Each emissions factor is calculated separately using an internal calculator and summed to arrive at the total GHG emissions from Business Travel.
