At Akamai, the Pulse Engagement Survey is managed by a third-party vendor that ensures confidentiality and anonymity by presenting results in an aggregated format and applying suppression rules. The Pulse Engagement Survey is distributed to 100% of Akamai employees every quarter. It consists of approximately 24 questions that measure 14 categories related to the employee experience, including Inclusion, Engagement, Culture, Benefits & Wellness, Connection, and more. All statements use a 5-point Likert scale, ranging from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree, and the survey concludes with one open-ended comment field. Additionally, each category has a score, which we track quarter over quarter to monitor progress and understand how employees are feeling. The methodology remains the same as in previous years; however, in 2025, we streamlined the survey statements by removing those with high correlation to others and reducing the total number of statements. The main goal was to continue providing a positive experience for respondents while gathering more focused feedback. |

Two categories that we pay particular attention to are "Engagement" and "Inclusion" Engagement - Consisted of four statements, including: "I am very confident in the future success of Akamai" and "I am willing to give extra effort to help Akamai meet its goals". Starting in Q2 2025, this category will include only two statements. Inclusion - Consists of four statements, including: "I feel like I belong at Akamai" and "People of all backgrounds can succeed at Akamai". Starting in Q2 2025, this category will include only three statements. Here's how our employees rated our work environment in 2024: Engagement: Q1=80%; Q2=79%; Q3=80%; Q4=80%. Inclusion: Q1=83%; Q2=86%; Q3=85%; Q4=85%. |
